TESTIMONIALS
Magdaly Montenegro is a Venezuelan artist who is also a long time Architect. Her path in the world of art began in the 90`s; a trajectory that has lasted two decades. Within those two decades she also became a respected professional in the world of architecture. Along with her artistic sensitivity she has also acquired a technical preparation in the world of glass and the results have been surprising to say the least with pieces of great expressive force supported by the texture of the materials she uses. A work that joins what is useful to the artistic with subtlety of forms, transparencies and colors in pieces that range from experimental jewelry to works of medium to large formats
Works in glass represent a great challenge for the artist; which is to shape movement to a different medium of surprising malleability. Its possibilities are infinite and the results outstandingly beautiful. Reason for the profusion of polychromatic forms in Magdaly Montenegro’s work tends to the nobleness and purity of the element, which tends to the abstract figurative. A kind of oniric clash in contrasting and vibrant colors, different capacities, in which the pureness of the element appears slowly. Control of the technique allows the form to be ethereal, lineal and simple in appearance while maintaining the polychromatism of the pieces that challenge the material's subordination capacity.
